Way back when we first began building our herd here at Cabinwood I purchased a beautiful weanling jennet from Steve and Jill Crim at Assphalt Acres in Indiana. Her name is Nicoal and she is still here as one of our most prized breeding jennets. I always said that if/when Crims put her dam Black Ooboo up for sale that I was going to buy her too! Well, Steve made me wait a good long time, but I am a gal of my word, so as soon as time permits and weather allows, Ooboo will be heading from Indiana to join her daughter Nicoal as another prized breeding jennet at Cabinwood Farm!!!

We are so excited to get her here! Thank you to Steve and Jill for finally letting her go!

We were so excited when Steve and Jill Crim offered us Nicoal to add to our herd foundation! We were so impressed with her great stocky and solid build and her even better looking backside! She had great conformation, an impressive pedigree and her color....WOW...under one of the thickest weanling winter coats I'd ever seen ......she was so BLACK! Nicoal has grown into a beautiful mature breeding jennet and has lived up to her promising expectations!!!! She is a real asset to our breeding program now and most of all she has personality plus!

Nicoal gave birth to a very handsome little jack Cabinwood's Nicholass in 2010.

Nicoal is exposed to Furball Acres Jokers Wild for a 2012 foal!

KZ Alluring Ally

DOB: September 29, 2007 34" Very dark Brown  *MSF

MDR # 51188   *Microchipped

Sire: Dewey Meadows Primo dk brn and white spot (ivory carrier)

Dam: Windcrest Katie dk brn roan (ivory carrier)

Ally is such a gorgeous jennet! We are very proud to add her to our breeding stock and we thank Jill Coussens of Timber Lane Acres in Wisconsin for allowing us to bring Ally here to Cabinwood!

This jennet has excellent conformation, perfect teeth and such amazing and solid bone structure!! She has a behind to die for and the presence of a real champion. Her foals to come should be some of the best around...we can't wait to see her first foal due next summer of 2012. Ally is a very unique color pattern with her white face mask and several small white spots on her right side. Along with her ability to produce spots, Ally also has two parents who each are proven ivory carriers so who knows what she might produce here at Cabinwood Farm with our own ivory or ivory carrier jacks! In a few years we may be moving her to the Ivory Carrier page if she should happen to produce an ivory foal in future breedings! The unknown is always so exciting!

Ally is bred by Li'l Angels Galaxy for a 2012 summer foal!

“Spitzy”(as we call her here at Cabinwood) came to our farm through a herd reduction out of Wathena, Kansas. Spitzy is blessed with a heavy stocky build, nice round rump, and a great conformation. Her very dark brown silky color shimmers in the summer sunlight and she has just the touch of a smile on her face all the time! Spitzy is one of my favorite, favorite donkeys! She was a solid foundation donkey when we purchased her and has proven to be a wonderful choice for our program!

Spitzy has given us 3 foals: Our very first foal JW the Duke, Hondo and then Rockwell T !

Royal Klass came to us the summer of 2007 from the terrific herd of Stephanie Dove's Brayers Are Us in Karnes City, Texas. Klass is a beautiful MSF and is such a sight to see standing in our front pasture! She has perfect teeth, excellent conformation, the most gorgeous head and such a stunning pose! She truly has KLASS! Even though she is a proven sorrel producer, Klass made the cut when we eliminated our sorrel line because of her beautiful MSF markings and her ability to also produce spots!

Klass gave birth to a great little dark sorrel jack. His name is Cabinwood's Kirby York!

Klass is exposed to Furball Acres Jokers Wild for a 2012 foal!

Ophelia came to Cabinwood Farm in September 2007 as a weanling from the herd of Sandy Bainbridge in New Jersey. We were very excited to add her to our future breeding stock.  As a mature adult, Phe is all that we hoped for and is a striking presence in our herd as her gorgeous looks and loud spotted markings are so eye catching. She has perfect teeth and excellent conformation all the way around!! We are proud to have her here at Cabinwood Farm!

Brianna was one of our very first donkeys purchased in our premiere donkey summer of 2006. This petite light brown beauty has a strong pedigree that includes My World and Rearview ancestors. She was purchased as a yearling and is one of our smallest donkeys, measuring at just 31 inches! She has impeccable conformation and great proportion with her small but stocky size. Brianna is a loving girl and she’s always ready for a hug or a rub!

Celina had to be one of the prettiest little delicate foals I had ever seen so, when I found her at Little Friends in Kentucky, it was love at first sight. She has grown and matured into an even prettier young jennet since she has been here at Cabinwood!

Celina is a nicely conformed jennet with a good full backside and a nice sturdy frame to go with it! She has grown into a spunky little girl with a great personality and has an independent spirit!

Celina has given us two beautiful jennet foals...Cabinwood's Tessa and Cabinwood's Sally Ruth!

While looking for a companion and friend for my ivory weanling Lady Alexandria, I ran across this little jennet for sale in Pennsylvania! Wow! What a little beauty she is and we are thrilled to add her to our Cabinwood donkey family! We look forward to watching Miss Maggie grow and mature. Lady Alexandria is very happy to now have a playmate and companion to buddy with and romp with this winter!

Thanks to Mary Ebersole at Cedar View Farm for this sweet and lovely little jennet!
