We are so honored and excited to have
Chamomile here at Cabinwood Farm! Chami
comes to us from the most recent down-sizing
done by Connie Bonczek at Furball Acres in
South Carolina. We thank Connie so much for
the opportunity to bring Chamomile here and
into our ivory breeding program!
Chamomile is one gorgeous jennet with just
the BEST combination of conformation and
great donkey looks that you will find
anywhere! Her 2008 jack foal out of
LFF's Buttered Popcorn is currently one of
our herdsires !!
Chamomile has had two foals for us: J.

Tyllie is one of the sweetest donkeys you've
ever seen! We are so thrilled to have her
and hope she will be here at Cabinwood Farm
for a long time to come. She came to us in a
round about way from an Exotic Animal Farm
in Kansas. We have added her to our
Ivory breeding program and hope that her
great solid build, wooly appearance,
gorgeous behind and personality plus will be
an excellent asset for us in our future
ivory breeding.
Matylda has had two foal for us:

Several years ago when I
first became interested in the ivory donkeys I put myself on as many waiting lists as
I could find for an ivory foal. Two years
later I received my very first call from
Furball Acres that I had finally moved to
the top of the list and there was a baby
girl born if I wanted her!!!!! Mon Ami was
well worth the wait!!!! She is tiny, full of
energy and just down right beautiful!!
Many, many thanks go out to Connie Bonczek
at Furball Acres in South Carolina for all
her guidance and support as I've slowly been
building up my ivory breeding herd. Mon Ami
is a wonderfully conformed
young jennet and we can't wait for her
to grow up and begin her producing years
here at Cabinwood Farm!

We waited a
long time for this little girl in more
ways than one! According to my breeding
calendar this foal wasn't due until the
end of June but Possum broke all the
rules and bagged up big early, had white
milk for over a week, and then had two
bouts of false labor! But in the end,
Little Cyn was worth the wait!! She is
just wonderful all around, a great set
of teeth, and she is the most beautiful
shade of dark ivory you've ever
seen....almost a buckskin color at
birth. She is not only JT Chance's first
foal ever but she is our very first
home-bred jennet to be born here at
Cabinwood!!
Lady
Cynthia is named after one of my best
friends Cynthia Donner

Possum kept us guessing right up to her
time of delivery but WOW! When this little
girl was finally born there was no need to
guess that she was a beauty!
Lady Pearlina was a tiny and delicate
little girl at her birth but she is filling
out fast and turning into a real hunk. Along
with her ivory colored hair she sports
a very dark brown stripe and cross along
with a few dark highlights on her ears and
around her feet. She appears to have light
points on her tummy and around her mouth.
Possum and Chance have once again given
us a precious gift in this little ivory
jennet. We can't wait to see how she grows
and matures!
Lady Pearlina is named after my Great
Grandmother Pearlina Tufts Thomas.

Alex is our very first spotted ivory jennet

first ivory foal born out of an ivory
carrier dam bred to an ivory sire. Her Dam
Jelly Bean is near and dear to our hearts
which makes Alex very special to us, too!
She is a tiny girl so far very much like her
sire Hand Painted and we are very excited to
keep this little girl for our future
breeding program.

We are very excited to be able to keep Lady
Amanda here for our future breeding program.
Her Dam Matylda is one of our all time
favorite jennets and is unique in her heavy
bone structure and semi-wooly appearance.
Time will tell if this little one has
inherited the wooly gene that her dam
carriers but for now, I can say with
certainty that she is one beautiful and
correct little jennet! Together with her
half sibling Alexandria, she will add
interest and diversity to our ivory breeding
lines.
Lady Amanda is named after my daughter
Mandy who has reminded me often that up
until now only her brothers had donkeys
named after them!
